My Contribution
In the Think Round project, I used UI and prototypes to turn artistic ideas into virtual spaces. This helped the community better understand and engage with the exhibits, supported teamwork across fields, and allowed me to present the project directly to local residents.
"Thank you! Coco! What a love you are. I loved every word of what you said tonight! Thank you for your time, talent, and understanding of what we value here at Think Round!"

Final Presentation
Virtual Restaurant_A welcoming space to gather, connect, and enjoy
This virtual restaurant was designed to feel warm, open, and inviting—perfect for both quiet solo moments and vibrant group gatherings. I focused on creating a user-friendly layout that makes it easy to order, find a seat, and enjoy the view. From natural lighting to comfortable seating arrangements, every detail was crafted to enhance social connection and relaxation through design.
Virtual Café_A cozy space for connection and conversation
This café was designed as more than just a place for coffee—it's a warm, intimate environment that encourages meaningful dialogue. Through a clean UI and easy navigation, users can connect with others who share similar backgrounds or experiences, whether virtually or in person. Features like quick invites, profile browsing, and custom backgrounds help turn casual chats into deeper, lasting connections.
Virtual Exterior Space_A vision of healing, growth, and community action
Set in one of San Francisco’s most polluted areas, this space reimagines environmental restoration as a family-centered, hands-on experience. Through interactive workshops on soil health, composting, and sustainable farming, the design aims to educate and empower communities to reclaim the land—starting with the soil. By visualizing a small on-site farm and learning center, this project blends environmental healing with community connection and hope for future generations.
Takeaways
Presenting design builds social connection.
Through public speaking, I not only shared my work but also built trust and emotional resonance with the community—turning design into a shared experience and strengthening my sense of belonging as a designer.
Co-creation fosters deeper impact.
Collaborating with a 3D architect, a nonprofit founder, and volunteers from diverse backgrounds taught me how design thrives when it listens, adapts, and includes multiple perspectives.
Storytelling makes design meaningful.
I learned that how we tell the story of a project—through visuals, language, and emotion—can inspire people just as much as the final design itself.
