Hey,

I’m Coco, a new grad UX Designer, currently finished a master's degree in Interaction and UI/UX Design, with a background in Illustration.

Being humble and positive are the qualities I aspire to cultivate throughout my life. I can better learn from the strengths of others within a team, enriching my own growth and delivering the best possible experience to users.

I believe strongly in the principle that “The core concept of design is to ensure that users don't have to exert effort thinking when using the product; operations should be intuitive and simple.” This is my favorite design philosophy from Steve Krug, Don't Make Me Think, and it guides my approach to UX design.

Illustrator

I pursued my undergraduate degree in Illustration at the California College of the Arts, where I also took numerous courses in animation and graphic design. Those were four wonderful years of boundless creativity, during which I loved capturing the subtle beauties of life through my imagination. Today, some of my illustrations are exhibited and sold at Dr. Tea house in Santa Monica, LA.

During my junior and senior years, I was thrilled to participate as an event staff member in Google's craft events. I helped by creating example paintings and teaching participants how to mix colors. (On a side note, I was secretly delighted to see people copying my example paintings!)
